Welcome to
Trainual tryouts

👋  Hey, there – we’re so glad you’re here!
And hope you're as excited as us.

Applying for a new job is exciting and, at times, super scary. Especially when you find your dream job, click "submit," then wait and wait to hear back. So, here's what you can expect when you apply at Trainual.

You applied. Now, what?

Chat with Pops

This is our chance to really get to know you (and for you to get to know us)! And it’s pretty casual. You’ll hop on a 30 to 60-minute Zoom with one of our People Ops Generalists. And we’ll chat through your story and your ideal role at Trainual.

Dive into Trainual

We’re a bit obsessed with our product – and we want you to be just as obsessed as we are. So, we’ll assign you a Trainual Subject before you get too far in the interviewing process. That way, you can see what all the hype is about first-hand.

Officially interview

Hop on a few 30 to 60-minute Zooms with all our Hiring Managers. These calls are all about role alignment. Meaning, we’ll give you an inside look at the challenges we’re facing, and you’ll let us know how you can help us solve them!

Show us what you got

AKA complete a project similar to what you’d actually be doing in the role. We love that you can talk the talk, but we want to see that you can also walk the walk. So, this is your chance to prove why you’re the right person for the role.

Meet the squad

We believe the interview process is as much you interviewing us as it is us interviewing you. So, once your presentation is over, get to know your future team in a casual virtual meet and greet. Don’t forget to ask us all your burning questions!

Reference check

Before we officially extend you an offer, we like to chat with a handful of your recent leaders, peers, or direct reports. That way, we get all the details on why you’re so amazing. Plus, insights into how we can best support you here at Trainual.

Woo-hoo! You made the team. 🎉

As soon as you’re hired, we jump right into all the love and communication. Meet and greet videos, coffee left on your doorstep, and all the funny gifs included. Plus, plenty of Trainual swag!

Of course, we’re not going to tell you all of our surprises. But we will say that you’ll be fully decked out and set up for success by the time your first day rolls around!

You’ll ease into your new role

Attend your Day 1 kickoff

In the morning, you’ll get a rundown of Trainual and hear our CEO’s vision for the company. After lunch, you’ll meet with your manager to dive into your role, responsibilities, and expectations

Dive into the Trainual platform

No surprise – but you’ll get all your new hire onboarding content in Trainual! This includes everything from our founding story to our company values to exactly how to do your new job.

Get you enrolled in benefits

While you’re going through Trainual, you’ll also learn about all our benefit plans. Then, you’ll have a 1-on-1 with your BFF about how to elect your plan and any benefits questions you have.

Meet the rest of the team

Pops will schedule quick meet-and-greets with all the teams. Plus, a fun remote get-together with your direct team (like a remote happy hour). All you have to bring is yourself!

Connect with key stakeholders

We’re a collaborative bunch, so you’ll also sync with everyone you’ll be working closely with. This way, you can get to know your new teammates and see how you’ll work with other roles.

Chat with our top dog

Not many companies have new hires chat with their CEO their first week. But we’re big advocates that Chris is here to help you make things happen – which starts with getting to know you!

Plus, you’ll constantly be leveling-up

Weekly 1:1s

Every week, you’ll have a coaching session with your direct manager to go over what’s on your plate, the challenges you’re facing, and any real-time feedback.

BFF chats

Roughly once a month, you and your Pops Generalist will sit down for a casual chat. And you can talk about anything that’s on your mind (personal or professional).

Quarterly career convos

Once a quarter, you’ll review your individual progress and set goals for the next quarter with your manager. Plus, let us know how we’re doing via an anonymous survey.

Bi-annual self-reflections

Twice a year, you’ll share all your big wins, identify new growth opportunities, and discuss what your career path at Trainual might look like moving forward!

Bi-annual engagement surveys

Twice a year, you’ll give us feedback that directly shapes how Trainual’s company culture matures. DEI, work-life balance, team dynamic, company culture, and more included.

Annual Manager 180s

Upward feedback is always encouraged. But once a year, you’ll be explicitly asked to give your manager direct feedback on their leadership strengths and opportunities to further develop.
